1. Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the service, and information from service providers or partners.
  • Account and profile information: This may include username, password or authentication credentials, email address, phone number, date of birth, age information, profile details, profile photo, gender, location choices, preferences, support messages, and other information you choose to provide.
  • User content and communications: When you use chat, video, profile, reporting, or other interactive features, we may process text, images, video, screenshots, messages, profile content, reports, metadata, and related communication information. Other users may save, copy, record, or share content you provide, so do not share content that you would not want another person to retain or disclose.
  • Usage, device, and log information: We may collect IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, language, pages viewed, access times, referring pages, session information, cookies, advertising identifiers, network information, app or browser events, feature usage, purchase events, safety signals, and diagnostic logs.
  • Payment information: If you make a purchase, payment processors may provide us with transaction identifiers, purchase status, subscription status, fraud or risk signals, chargeback information, and limited billing details. We do not need to store full card numbers to operate the service.
  • Age verification information: We use K-ID and related age assurance providers to help confirm that users meet Omegle's 18+ requirement. Depending on your jurisdiction, account status, and available verification methods, K-ID or its providers may process jurisdiction information, claimed age, email or account identifiers, age verification session identifiers, facial age estimation data, government ID scans with selfie match, credit card or other age signals, and verification results. Omegle is intended to receive verification status, age-category results, verification identifiers, and fraud or safety signals rather than raw selfie images, government ID images, or biometric templates.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
  • Provide, operate, personalize, and improve Omegle.
  • Create, authenticate, verify, maintain, and secure accounts.
  • Verify age eligibility and restrict access by users who do not meet the 18+ requirement.
  • Pair users, enable chat and video features, and support user communication.
  • Process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, chargebacks, and payment support.
  • Monitor content, detect abuse, review reports, and enforce our policies.
  • Prevent spam, fraud, malware, unauthorized access, and other security risks.
  • Respond to support, privacy, legal, safety, and law enforcement requests.
  • Analyze service performance, usage trends, reliability, and product quality.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and property of users, Omegle, and others.
Age Verification and K-ID
Omegle uses K-ID to support age assurance. K-ID documentation describes age verification methods that may include facial age estimation, government ID verification, credit card verification, AgeKey, and other jurisdiction-specific methods. K-ID states that its system is designed to minimize data collection and to return age verification outcomes, and that certain facial age estimation processing may occur on device.

K-ID and its providers are separate third-party services. Their collection and processing of information during verification may be governed by their own notices and policies, including the K-ID Privacy Policy. We use verification results to decide whether to allow, restrict, suspend, or restore access to Omegle. If you have questions about Omegle's use of age verification results, contact privacy@omegle.com.

Content Monitoring Policy
Community safety is a core part of Omegle. We may use automated systems, technical signals, user reports, service-provider reviews, and human review to prevent, detect, investigate, remove, restrict, or report content and activity that may violate our policies, our Terms of Use, or applicable law.

Monitoring may include review of text, images, video-related signals, screenshots, profile content, reports, user identifiers, device information, account history, payment risk signals, metadata, and logs. We use this information to detect and respond to abuse, spam, scams, harassment, nudity, sexual content, violence, exploitation, underage use, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child sexual abuse evidence (CSAE), grooming, sextortion, and other harmful behavior.

We have zero tolerance for sexual abuse, child exploitation, CSAM, grooming, sextortion, non-consensual intimate content, and conduct that endangers minors. We may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, restrict features, notify affected users when appropriate, and report incidents to law enforcement, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), payment processors, safety partners, or other authorities where permitted or required by law.

Monitoring does not guarantee that all harmful activity will be detected. Users remain responsible for their own conduct and should immediately report unsafe, illegal, abusive, or suspicious behavior.

Report Policy
If you see content or conduct that violates our policies, appears abusive, involves a minor, shows or promotes exploitation, or creates an immediate safety concern, report it as soon as possible.
In-app and website reporting:
  • Use the report button or reporting flow available on a user's profile, chat, or content screen.
  • Select the closest available category, such as underage, sexual content, violence, abuse, bullying, incorrect gender, spam, or other safety issue.
  • Include accurate details so our safety team can review the report efficiently.
  • Do not download, capture, share, comment on, or further distribute suspected CSAM or abusive content.
Email reporting: You may also contact us at safety@omegle.com. For urgent safety concerns, include "Safety Report" in the subject line. Abuse reports may also be sent to abuse@omegle.com. Privacy and deletion requests should be sent to privacy@omegle.com.
External reporting: If you are reporting suspected CSAM, you may also report it to the NCMEC CyberTipline, which coordinates with law enforcement agencies. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or local law enforcement.

3. How We Share Information
We may share information:
  • With your consent or at your direction.
  • With other users as needed for public profiles, matching, chat, and communication features.
  • With service providers that help us operate, host, analyze, secure, moderate, support, verify age eligibility, or process payments for the service.
  • With affiliates or business partners where needed to provide or protect the service.
  • With payment processors, card networks, fraud vendors, app stores, or banks for payment, refund, chargeback, tax, and fraud purposes.
  • With law enforcement, regulators, courts, safety organizations, or other authorities when permitted or required by law or when we believe disclosure is needed to prevent harm.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
  • As aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.
We do not sell personal data for money. If our use of cookies, pixels, SDKs, analytics, or advertising technologies is considered a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under an applicable U.S. state privacy law, you may opt out by contacting privacy@omegle.com.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to remember preferences, maintain sessions, secure accounts, analyze usage, improve performance, support advertising measurement, and operate the service. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect service functionality.

5. Data Security and Retention
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, operate accounts, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, process payments, maintain safety records, comply with legal obligations, and protect legitimate business interests. Some information may remain in backups, logs, safety records, or legal records after account deletion when retention is permitted or required.

Age verification results, safety reports, moderation decisions, and legal records may be retained for longer where needed to prevent underage access, investigate abuse, document compliance, respond to disputes, or meet legal obligations.

6. Account Information Access and Deletion
You may access, update, or delete certain account information through product settings where available. You may request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy assistance by contacting privacy@omegle.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

If you request account deletion, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account, subject to legal, security, payment, fraud-prevention, safety, dispute, and backup retention needs.
U.S. State Privacy Rights: Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, portability, restriction or limitation of certain sensitive personal information, and an opt out from sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. You may also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights and the right to appeal a denied request.

Submit U.S. state privacy requests, deletion requests, and appeals to privacy@omegle.com. We may need to verify your identity and request details before fulfilling a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization.

7. Children's Privacy
Omegle is for adults only and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use the service. If we learn that a user is under 18, we may suspend the account, delete personal information where appropriate, preserve information where necessary for safety or legal compliance, and report relevant incidents where permitted or required by law.

If you believe a user is under 18 or that a minor's information or content appears on the service, report it through the service or contact safety@omegle.com.

8. International Transfers
We operate a global online service. Your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries other than where you live. When we transfer information, we use safeguards appropriate to the information and applicable law.

9. Third-Party Services
Omegle may include links to, integrations with, or services from third parties, including hosting providers, analytics providers, payment processors, fraud prevention vendors, moderation vendors, and age assurance providers such as K-ID. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

10. Law Enforcement and Emergency Requests
Law enforcement officials may contact lawenforcement@omegle.com. We review legal process and emergency disclosure requests under applicable law. We may preserve and disclose account, content, payment, age verification, safety, and log information when permitted or required by law or when we believe disclosure is needed to prevent death, serious physical harm, child exploitation, or other urgent safety threats.

11. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy, Content Monitoring Policy, and Report Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page, and continued use of the service after an update means you accept the updated policy.
